Nebraska Democratic Party officials have demanded that U.S. Senate candidate Chris Janicek withdraw from the senate race after reviewing sexually inappropriate comments he made about a staff member during a group text among
the Janicek campaign.Read the news release.
Lancaster County Democratic Party's Executive Team met on June 16. We stand with the Nebraska Democratic Party in calling for Chris Janicek to withdraw from the U.S. Senate race.

If Chris Janicek decides to withdraw from the race and completes the Nebraska Secretary of State paperwork, the Nebraska Democratic Party's State Central Committee will meet and vote for a replacement candidate. The NDP must submit replacement candidate forms to the Nebraska Secretary of State by Sept. 1, 2020. Please send questions to the NDP at [email protected].
