Mayor Gaylor Baird will appoint a replacement for Washington on the Planning Commission. The appointment requires approval by the City Council and County Board. Lincoln City Council Chair Jane Raybould announced the process to fill the At-Large City Council seat that was vacated Monday, May 20 when Council member Leirion Gaylor Baird was sworn in as Mayor. Apply for the City Council seat by submitting a resume and a cover letter stating their reasons for wanting to serve on the Council. The information must be received by 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 28.
